Sandbanks Provincial Park

Sandy Beaches

Sandbanks Provincial Park is a provincial park located on Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County approximately 9 km from the resort.

It is noted for its picturesque sand dunes and beaches. It also has the world’s largest fresh water sand bar and dune system.

  • Three expansive sandy beaches that some say are among the best in Canada; Outlet Beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters and gentle drop off

  • Location jutting out into Lake Ontario means that this park is a bird migration hot-spot in spring and fall

Signing out a Sandbanks Provincial Park Pass

A complimentary day pass (1 per cottage) is available for you and your family to enjoy the Provincial Park upon request from the Front Desk/Reception.

Passes are signed out on a daily basis (you can sign it out every day except check-out day) and are to be returned to the office within the same day; it is a parking permit for your vehicle.  Passes must be signed out by the driver of the vehicle, or to another adult, such as a parent or guardian.

Additional daily parking permits can be purchased at your discretion, either at the park entrance or by the dunes beach parking area.
