Sandy Beaches

Sandbanks Provincial Park is a provincial park located on Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County approximately 9 km from the resort.

It is noted for its picturesque sand dunes and beaches. It also has the world’s largest fresh water sand bar and dune system.

  • Three expansive sandy beaches that some say are among the best in Canada; Outlet Beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters and gentle drop off

  • Location jutting out into Lake Ontario means that this park is a bird migration hot-spot in spring and fall

  • Daily interpretive programming for the whole family during summer months

Signing out a Sandbanks Provincial Park Pass

A complimentary day pass (1 per cottage) is available for you and your family to enjoy the Provincial Park upon request from the Front Desk/Reception.

This pass is available to be signed out and returned each day of your stay; it is a parking permit for your vehicle.

Passes are signed out on a daily basis and are to be returned to the office within the same day.

If the office is not open when you return, there is a drop box at the bottom of the ramp. Late fee’s may apply if not returned the same day. If the pass is not returned at all, you will be billed the cost of replacement to the credit card on file.

Additional daily parking permits can be purchased at your discretion, either at the park entrance or by the dunes beach parking area.

Passes must be signed out by the driver of the vehicle, or to another adult, such as a parent or guardian.

Please note that passes are not available on check out day.
